Twig provides a progressive, stylist-focused, compensation and benefits offering to experienced hair stylists.

What We Provide

Salon

  • Relaxed 16-chair salon offering Wella, R+Co, and exclusively Mr. Smith.

  • Full reception and operations team.

  • Internal education program supplemented with off-site training (Vidal Sassoon, Wella, etc.)

  • Busy. Our top stylist in 2022 earned over $132,000 while the average for all stylist levels, part-time and full-time was $69,000.

  • Every other year the entire team gets flown internationally for an inspiration/education experience. Airfare fully paid.

  • Apprentice program

Flexible scheduling options

  • 6 days a week 8a-8p (Mon-Sat)

  • 32+ hour full-time (with health benefits option)

  • Less than 30-hours part-time (without health benefits option)

  • Unlimited vacation for full-time stylists

Compensation

  • 50% commission on services. 15% on retail, if under $3,000 in earnings in two week pay period

  • 55% on services. 15% on retail, if over $3,000 and under $4,000 in earnings

  • 60% on services. 25% on retail, if earning exceed $4,000

  • No back bar or other charges to stylist

What Happens Next?

  • Submit your application of interest here

  • Our Director of Operations will acknowledge receipt

  • Our Creative Director and our Lead Stylist will review your application

  • Upon initial acceptance you will be called in for an interview with our Lead Stylist, Creative Director and Director of Operations

  • Upon mutual agreement that it’s a great fit, you will meet with the team (generally via Zoom). And any one stylist on the team may make a case to veto an applicant.

  • Upon team endorsement, you will be offered a great job and future at Twig

Did We Miss Something?

Do you have a situation that you assume we cannot accommodate? If you have the skills and track record of extreme customer satisfaction we will go to great lengths to accommodate a myriad of situations and requirements. And, if you rent a chair now, do you assume being an employee is less freeing and profitable than being an independent contractor? We’d love to have you talk with stylists who made the switch to being employees and have them substantiate why they would never go back to renting a chair.

About Us

Twig has a family vibe with a really great group of talented stylists and the stability of an over 10-year institution and a renewed 10-year lease with expanding opportunities for both junior stylists building a following as well as stylists that are operating at near their peak and just want a better work/life balance, better benefits, and more income for the same or less effort and stress.

Twig Hair Salon is the newest addition to the distinct Goldie x Bob Hair Salon and BarberX Barbershop brands. For inspiration, the entire stylist team is traveling to Barcelona, Spain in 2024.

Goldie x Bob, just one year after being acquired, was nominated by 303 Magazine as “Denver’s Best Hair Salon” and twice for “Colorado’s Best Hair Stylist”. For inspiration in 2020, all Goldie x Bob stylists received an employer-subsidized week’s trip to Paris Fashion Week and went to Milan fall 2022. In the fall of 2024 the team will be going to Tokyo.

BarberX was featured in 2020 on a live segment of Fox31’s Morning News program and is one of the very few barbershops in the country that sends its barbers to the Netherlands for advanced training.
